What exactly is PVC?

PVC, full name is Polyvinylchlorid, the main ingredient is polyvinyl chloride, and other ingredients are added to enhance its heat resistance, toughness, ductility and so on. The top layer of this surface film is lacquer, the main component in the middle is polyvinyl chloride, and the bottom layer is a back coating adhesive. It is a synthetic material that is loved, popular and widely used in the world today. Its global usage ranks second among various synthetic materials. According to statistics, in 1995 alone, PVC production in Europe was about 5 million tons, while its consumption was 5.3 million tons. In Germany, PVC production and consumption average 1.4 million tons. PVC is being produced and applied worldwide with a growth rate of 4%. The growth of PVC in Southeast Asia is particularly significant several times, thanks to the urgent need for infrastructure construction in Southeast Asian countries. Among the materials that can produce three-dimensional surface films, PVC manufa...

Detailed explanation of seal standards for different materials

[Introduction] We are all quite familiar with seals. Because every aspect of our life is inseparable from such a small part. Let me give a few examples. There will be some sealing rings on the heating interface in the house, and there will also be some sealing rings on our gas equipment. There is a sealing ring on the water pipe, even for some drinks or bottles. This article mainly talks about the seal standard through the application direction of the seal wholesale . The seal material is not the same as the application direction, so there will be a variety of seal standards. Below we will specifically talk about a few different use cases for readers' reference.   The first is CR, which is a neoprene seal, which is very resistant to sunlight and weather. It has no effect on refrigerants such as dichlorodifluoromethane and ammonia, and has excellent properties such as resistance to dilute acid and silicone grease. In some mineral oils with a low aniline point, the amount of swellin...

less is more? jessa duggar shows off her diy 'minimalist' home makeover, revealing she sold off her unwanted furniture online - and put her box spring and mattress on the floor

A month after her big sister Jana revealed that she's remodeled their parents' bedroom, Jessa Duggar has given her own hope a bit of a makeover. The 26-year-old reality star and mother-of-two wrote on Instagram that she decided to go for a more 'minimalist' look in the house she shares with husband Ben Seewald, 23. With the transformation finished in the master bedroom and living room, the Counting On star share before and after pictures of her work. 'Here's a little glimpse into a Seewald home project that was completed recently,' she wrote on March 29. 'Decided on a whim that I wanted to become more of a minimalist.' She said she repainted her living room, which started as a light green and is now a light gray shade called Revere Pewter. That piston was a bit of project, which she seems to have done all by herself while her husband was at a late night meeting. She said she went to Lowe's with her sons, three-year-old Spurgeon and two-year-...

Keeping Those Bed Bugs From Biting

By JANE E. BRODYAPRIL 13, 2009Throughout my early childhood I was tucked into bed with a gentle admonition: "Good night, sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite." Not that my parents or I had ever seen a bed bug or known anyone bitten by one.But these days this old saying has resonance for many more people than in years past, including those who sleep in expensive homes and four-star hotels. Last month, a family living in a $3 million private house in Brooklyn discarded rooms' worth of furniture, the cushions carefully slashed and notes attached saying the pieces had bed bugs and were not safe to take.Had this been the case 40-odd years ago when I became a New York homeowner, I might have had a hard time labels furnishing my rooms; most were decorated with foundlings, including cushioned chairs. In those days, street scavengers like me had little reason to worry about bed bugs. But the bed bug problem has become so widespread in 21st- century America that Th...

making the crib mattress more comfortable

In my FTM (first time mom) SIDS phobia obsession, I bought probably the hardest mattress on the face of the earth - the Colgate Classica Foam (Baby Bargains was my bible). The mattress is seriously hard as a rock. DD (dear daughter) and I have been co-sleeping for the past month or so (long story) and I need to transition her back to her crib. Of course, I'm sure she's gotten used to the much more comfortable regular mattress now - If I was her, I certainly battery wouldn't want to sleep on that hard surface. In an effort to ease the transition back to the crib, I'd like to use a pillow top or a cushy mattress cover or something to make it more comfortable. Anyone use anything that they like/recommend to make LO's mattress more comfortable? The water proof mattress pads I have (all 3 of them) basically don't do anything to add much comfort. There's a slight "quilt" to the ones I have, but the mattress certainly doesn't feel any softe...

off to a solid start : it took around nine hours and cost $168.94. there's more to be done. but a handy homeowner finds that with planning, he can in one weekend clear several hurdles toward earthquake safety.

As usual, my wife was right. I didn't get it all accomplished in one weekend: It is my list of earthquake safety chores. I decided several weeks ago to bow to the inevitability of another major quake and set about making our house as earthquake safe as my talents and budget would allow. The goal is to reduce the likelihood of valuable possessions being damaged in a quake and to reduce as much as possible the chances that anyone in the house would be injured. When I wrote here of my plans two weeks ago, I'd talked with a home safety inspection specialist to get ideas on what to look for and had made a tour of my home to determine what needed to be done. With that list in hand--chores ranged from fastening the clothing tall cabinet in the living room to bracing boxes in the garage--I spent several evenings at the local home improvement center, wandering the aisles and getting ideas for materials I'd need. After listing each chore and what was needed to accomplish it, I w...

Laser gaging aids cellular machining: a production bottleneck in inspection and gaging can be a disaster in a cellular machining strategy. Here's what two plants are doing to "unclog" the production value stream.

There's a sign hanging in every department at Mitchel & Scott Machine Company (M & S) (Indianapolis), which reads: "Quality Is Built Into A Product, Not Inspected Into It." Nevertheless, over time the company has amassed a battery of more than 17,500 active gages, including 16 optical comparators (14" through 30"), fully equipped inspection stations in each production department, a temperature and humidity controlled gage lab equipped with contour, surface finish and roundness gages for circular geometry and straightness, and a CMM. So to suggest that M & S, with some 250,000 sq. -ft. of manufacturing space and more than 300 employees, is preoccupied with inspecting parts is, perhaps, an finishing understatement. Gaging is, after all, a good thing. Especially if you ship more than 20 million components and assemblies a year to a roster of very demanding customers in the heavy truck, off-road, agricultural and automotive industries. Satisfying t...

how to paint an above ground pool

googletag.display("div-ad-articleLeader");Many homeowners enjoy the convenience of having a swimming pool a few steps from their door. Swimming pools provide your family, friends and neighbors a great place to cool off on a hot and steamy day. above-ground-pools offer homeowners the benefit of a place to play and relax without the long term commitment and expense of a built-in or in-ground pool. Typically, above-ground-pools are less expensive to buy, install and maintain. Many cities and towns also tax homeowners for built-in pools, but there is no tax increase for an above-ground-pool. above-ground-pool manufacturers make pools with metal walls that are usually powder coated to protect the metal from corrosion and rust. Most above-ground-pools are painted by the manufacturer in a stylish color or design. Over time the stylish design becomes an outdated eye sore. Lemon yellow walled pools don't mesh well with the natural looking landscaping that is more popular. Some...

arduino light following robot

Overview This instructable will use three photoresistors (light dependent resistors) and an Arduino to control the motion of a robot. Any common robot chassis can be used for the robot. The light sensors will be mounted on the left side, right side and front of the robot. When light of sufficient intensity falls on a sensor, the robot will respond with a doors left turn, right turn or forward movement, corresponding to the location of the sensor that is activated. The instructable will also pass along some electronics tips that I have found useful and, hopefully, will prove useful to others. List of Materials: 3x Light Dependent Resistors 3x 250K trimmers (potentiometers) 3x Three pin sensor cables 1x Duemilanove or compatible Arduino board #. Sleeping beauties: are these the world's best beds?

I t wasn't such a long time ago that sleep was considered an activity for wimps. Life's too short, they said in the power-crazed Eighties. "Sleep when you're dead!" Today that just seems ignorant. For our brains, beauty and overall brilliance, there is no substitute for a good night's sleep, and approximately one third of a life well lived should be spent tucked up in bed. But just as everybody has wildly different dreams, we all have different hopes for our beds. Like houses, you get what you pay for. The Sleep Council recommends that you spend as much as you can afford. So what – when money is no object – does that mean you're going to get? A visit to some of the best bed makers in Britain is an education in the science of sleep. It goes without saying that posture, ie your comfort, and vent temperature are essentials in guaranteeing a good night's sleep, and the quality of a bed will ultimately come down to the materials used to make it. The king...
