Fluorinated ethylene propylene rubber O-ring (also called coated FEP o-seal ) consists of a synthetic rubber inner ring and a seamless fluorinated ethylene propylene shell covering the inner ring. Similar to the TEflon O-ring, it is suitable for those occasions where the conventional synthetic rubber O-ring is not suitable for chemical corrosion resistance. Synthetic rubber inner rings provide the flexibility needed for this type of seal, while seamless fluorinated ethylene propylene rubber enclosures provide chemical resistance.
